Well today was a pretty boring p day, after all the chores and emails I took a nap. Then we went to our family home evening, and then came home and that was our day.
Tuesday, today was a truly great day, I say that a lot but today really was. First we had branch mission correlation meeting, and that went really well, then we waited out a crazy rain storm did a little finding, and had a great lesson with a less active, I really think we will be able to get her to come back to the church. Then we went and had lunch. After lunch we went by on Zeifi, he was finally home and he was super excited to see us. The lesson went super well and he said he wants to be baptized, he set the date for October 10th! Hopefully this works and everything goes through, I'm so excited for him! After this awesome lesson we didn't know how our day could get better, but we found a family! They are from Romania and seem pretty interested, we have an appointment with them for Sunday afternoon. Then to finish the night we had a lesson with another guy, he's super nice but it's hard to gauge how much he understands, his German and English are not amazing, hopefully we come clear with each other. Then after this awesome day of appointment after appointment we came home and chilled, got ready for another crazy day tomorrow.
Today was a pretty interesting day. Interviews with the new mission president. Finishing missionaries didn't have them so we went on an exchange, elder lawyer and elder Moerly who finish this transfer went to a service project for a lady in our ward and elder O'Keefe and I went to Hamburg, we got there early like we were supposed to but because things were a little behind they sent us finding. That didn't make me very happy because finding in an area that isn't your own is really really ineffective, you can't make out appointments and it's just handing out cards. ( so far over the corse of my mission I have handed out thousands of cards, I have never been called by one or them) as we left the church we grabbed a guitar from the YSA stuff and wandered the streets of Hamburg playing and preaching, it was really a moment that just made me think wow! Then we had our interview with president and went home. By the time we got home it was time to go to the apartment, plan for tomorrow and go to sleep. It was a fast day it was a fun day, I'm so happy to be here!
Thursday is already over, this week has just flown by. Today we had district meeting in Glückstadt, the zone leaders were there so that was pretty fun, the best part was when elder O'Keefe gave his little lesson. He got up and wrote revolution on the board, then said the first step to revolution is to get rid of those people who are in charge, at this moment those of us who were in on this lesson pulled out our hidden nerf guns and shot the leaders, I had two and got both of the zl's while elder O'Keefe and elder Woodside shot elder Gibbs. Then as everyone else was still confused about what had happened, elder O'Keefe's companion said, " I thought you were asked to talk about revelation" it was quite the joke. After district meeting we came home and went to Zeifi's house and invited him to a baptism on Saturday. It will be really cool the guy from Afghanistan that I taught while in a Dritt is getting baptized and we get to take our investigator from Afghanistan! Then I took a language assessment. Then went home teaching with the branch president. It made for a really fast day.
Saturday today was so unbelievably incredibly amazingly awesome! So if you remember back on the week when I was with two other elders in Elmshorn, we taught a man from Afghanistan who had the strongest testimony ever, his name is Karimi. today we went to his baptism!!! That is super cool in and of itself, but it was made so much better by the fact that we have Zeifi and he came with us to it. This was set up perfectly, absolutely no way that it was coincidental, a man from Afghanistan, who speaks Persian, being baptized in the same district as another guy who speaks Persian is from Afghanistan and wants to be baptized! There were two men who could translate to Persian and the talk on baptism was in Persian and the baptism itself was said in Persian and Zeifi had an amazing time! He was able to talk to people and he had an awesome time, I had a really good time with him today.
Sunday. Today was a good day. For the first time in my time in Heide we had an investigator at church. He had a really good time there. Other than that not a whole lot went down at church. Afterward we had two eating appointments, one with the Richters and one with the Drabs
